Founded in 1994, Vámunió Kft. has grown into one of Hungary’s largest privately owned customs agencies, expanding dynamically year after year. In addition to our team of over 50 in-house employees, we employ 20 contracted workers who support our warehousing operations.
At our Budapest facility, we operate a 7,500 m² warehouse, providing storage solutions for nearly 60 freight forwarding companies and multiple NVOCCs.
Our on-site staff perform customs clearance tasks at various manufacturing units in Szigetszentmiklós and Székesfehérvár. Additionally, by extending our permits, we manage temporary storage and bonded warehouses at multiple freight forwarding locations. We provide comprehensive customs clearance services to thousands of importers and exporters, regardless of their mode of transport.
We take pride in our exceptional bank guarantee framework, which ensures secure and efficient customs and logistics processes for our clients in Hungary.
Our unique service liability insurance covers all our activities, including freight forwarding, transportation, warehousing, and logistics services. Additionally, we have customs brokerage liability insurance, which applies to customs procedures carried out by our employees. Moreover, our comprehensive property and liability insurance provides coverage for risks arising from our operations, while our warehouse insurance protects goods stored at our facility under the relevant insurance terms.
We play an active and significant role in the Hungarian customs community. We are members of the Hungarian Customs Association (Magyar Vámügyi Szövetség), the Association of Customs, Excise, and Tax Service Providers (Vám-, Jövedéki- és Adóügyi Szolgáltatók Szövetsége), as well as the Hungarian Freight Forwarders’ Association (Magyar Szállítmányozók Szövetsége).
